Friday Night Magic – Mini-Magic

Welcome Planeswalkers! To continue our New Years highlight of lesser-played formats, The Missing Piece would like to bring your attention to the Mini-Magic format. Each player is expected to have a 20 card deck. In this format, attempting to draw a card when you have no cards left in your library does not result in a game-loss, and cards that would cause a player to win the game due to having no cards left in their library are banned.

5:30pm – In person sign ups begin for players that didn’t register through our website. This is also a great time to buy food, drinks, and any supplies you might want for the event, as well as make sure your deck follows the stipulations of the format.

6:00pm – Round 1 begins. There will be three 50-minute rounds, during which, players will compete in a best-2-out-of-3 match.

Around 9:00pm – Prizes will be awarded. All participants will get a promotional card, as well as a Missing Pawn card to use during our Piecing It Together events on Sundays. Players will also get additional prizes depending on their performance during the event.
